There’s no better way to beat the wintertime blues than with a trip to The Rink at Wade Oval in University Circle. Opening for its third season on Saturday, November 20, The Rink is Cleveland’s only FREE outdoor skating rink. Last year, more than 20,000 visitors laced up a pair of skates and took to The Rink’s unique polymer surface, which feels just like real ice.
“We are thrilled with the success of The Rink at Wade Oval,” said Chris Ronayne, president of University Circle Inc. “Since it opened in 2008, The Rink has hosted a hockey game, private parties, and even a surprise wedding proposal. It has done so much to make University Circle a year-round destination of choice.”
Admission to The Rink is always free, and skate rentals are only $3. Refreshments such as coffee, hot chocolate, and popcorn are available for purchase at the newly opened Wade Oval Information Center, adjacent to The Rink.
